Tweety

Tweety is a Jack Russell and Rat Terrier cross. Tweety found her way into our rescue due to no fault of her own. Her owner unexpectedly passed away and she is now looking for a new home where she will not be alone for more than an hour or two daily since she is accustomed to having her person around 24/7 and will get too lonely if left alone for more than an hour or two. Tweety is the PERFECT dog for a retired home. She is fairly quiet, snuggles, gives kisses and adores to be close with her person(s). She loves to spend the majority of her day perched quietly on top of a comfortable couch with a good window view of some ‘action’ outside. She also enjoys sunbathing, taking frequent cat naps and just plain watching whatever you are doing from her little spot on top of the couch. She is very mellow compared to the average Jack Russell and needs more TLC than exercise. Don’t get me wrong, she still throws a little party upon your return home complete with a happy dance, even if you have only been gone for 30 seconds to check the mail. Tweety does need daily exercise and feels like a young pup once or twice a day, zooming around the house or yard wanting you to chase her and throw a ball ….or if she sees a cat she will be sure to let everyone know! She is completely housetrained, knows how to use a dog door, does NOT appear to be a digger, barker or house destroyer. She is actually a lap dog and will not hesitate to jump in your lap if you invite her. She also shows no shame when it comes to begging for table scraps, but knows her place and does not try to steal food (not that we recommend table scraps)! Tweety is up to date on her shots and the vet told us today that her heart ‘sounds as good as a puppy’s’. She did clear the vet with a 100% clean bill of health. Tweety is located in Lynnwood, WA.
