Thank you!** Meet Tulow - an almost 2 1/2 year old, 20 pound, Rat Terrier mix boy who was found as a stray in Mississippi. Poor Tulow has been looking for his forever family for NINE months now...and we just hope he finds his people soon! Nine months is a terribly long time to spend in rescue without his own family to love :( His foster mom shares "Tulow is an active boy with energy to match! He loves to run outside so a fenced in yard would be wonderful for him. He is a toy hog but an absolute love! He has lived with cats but sometimes he will chase them. He will never hurt them, I just believe he enjoys running and thinks they are playing! Tulow is a big snuggler at bedtime and loves fleece blankets to sleep under! He also seems fully housebroken too." Tulow did come into rescue testing positive for Heartworm - but he has now completed all his treatment and doesn't need any additional care beyond monthly Heartworm prevention just like you would give to any dog. All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
