Say “Hello” to Tucker, a gorgeous 4 year old Lab with a reddish coat that’s as soft as velvet. Tucker is the envy of most Labs -- he’s looking forward to adding some weight to his current 70 or so pounds. This boy is all Lab and a total character. He loves anything to do with water. “He’s like a beaver.” His foster mom tells us. You’ll find him splashing in the pool or dragging the hose around with a look like “Where’s the water?” His personal ensemble is complete only if there’s a tennis ball in his mouth. He has great big paws that make him look all the more endearing.<><>Tucker is a dream! He’s smart and has a wonderful disposition,” relates his foster mom. Our boy is housetrained, knows “sit”, “off”, “back”, uses a dog door and comes when called. A typical happy greeter, he’s learning to keep four-on-the-floor and, like so many of our rescued Labs, his leash manners need work.
Tucker is great with other dogs, big and small, and is a real get along kind of guy who’s content to do his own thing. With people is where he loves to be more than anything. Sociable, athletic Tucker’s forever home will need a six foot fence.
Tucker is a youngster who enjoys life to the max and loves to nap – wet and muddy if possible! – on the deck in the sunshine. After a big day doing Lab stuff, he likes to tuck himself in under his foster parents’ bed with a couple toys. His velvety head peers out from under the dust ruffle as it rests on the nearest dog bed.
Tucker is one of those great all around Labs that makes this breed so well loved. Once you meet this water-loving, people-loving and tennis ball-loving character, we bet you’ll have found the Lab of your dreams!
