My Story

PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING TUCKER A CHANCE IN YOUR HOME. THE RESCUE HE IS CURRENTLY IN IS FACING FORECLOSURE. SATURDAY AUG 21 WILL BE HIS LAST CHANCE TO FIND A HOME IN OKLAHOMA - THEN HE WILL GO TO A HUMANE SOCIETY IN MN. YOU CAN ADOPT HIM ON SAT THE 21ST AT PET SENSE, 4019 CACHE ROAD IN LAWTON BETWEEN 10AM AND 5 PM. Tucker is a 5 year old Rat terrier mix who was rescued from a puppy mill when he was 3 months old. When he was rescued he weighed 3 pounds and had over 200 ticks on him. The vet said that he was not going to survive but he was a little fighter and now he is a big healthy boy. Tucker has spent his whole life in a rescue setting and wants to find himself a new loving OWNER!

He is friendly and playful and will do his “Tucker Dance” if you scratch him right above his tail. He loves water hoses and will bite at the water for hours. His favorite treats in the whole world are hot dogs and he is good on a leash once he settles down and like to go on long walks. He is definitely an alpha dog and would be best in a home with no other dogs. He was around cats when he was small but I can’t guarantee he is still OK with them. As with most terriers he would do best in a home with no young children. You can see he is a little chubby right now from being in a pen for a year but he would love a big back yard and some humans to play with. He is heartworm free, up-to-date on his vaccinations and neutered. He is on Heartworm preventative and weighs about 35 pounds.
