TUCKER is a 6 month old, white mix breed puppy who was found wandering on the street. No one ever came forward to claim him. We refer to him as a “Norwegian Cheese Hound”, but one could get very creative inventing a breed for him. He is a happy, friendly boy who will probably weigh about 25 lbs when full grown. Tucker is very active and loves playing with other active dogs. He would make a great hiking or jogging partner! Tucker is being fostered at Deer Creek Animal Hospital.
VSGSR expenses with the numerous rescues has been more than we imagined, although it was well worth the expense - lives were saved and the majority are in wonderful happy homes, although some are still struggling to learn to cope with "life on the outside," as it were thanks to some wonderful foster homes. So it's time for us to do a little fundraising, and we're doing that with the help of PetSmart.
On January 25, 2009 at Tempe Town Lake, PetSmart Charities will be hosting a PetWalk to raise much needed funds for homeless pets. We would love to have you walk with us, but if you cannot walk with us, a donation would be a wonderful thing :o) We get to keep 100% of our donations, and then the corporate donations that PetSmart gets are split among the rescue groups in some fashion.
