Truffles has been at the shelter since she was about 3 months old and is approx. 4 years old in these pictures taken February 24, 2007. She is very special and smart. Truffles isn't house broken, but hey, how is a girl to learn unless she has someone to teach her. The shelter staff has not been able to work with her. However, as smart as she is, Truffles will get the hang of it in no time.
Truffles has become VERY shy and needs a person who is willing to teach her how to trust us humans and how to be a 'real' dog. She hides in her dog house when a stranger comes around. Once she knows that you are not going to hurt her, then she is wonderful. Truffles is a beautiful girl who just needs someone with patience and a calming voice who is willing to give her the time to take babies steps in learning how to be a dog.
Truffles does well on a leash if you can coax her out of her dog house to get a leash on her. She and her kennel mate, BJ, loves running around and playing in the exercise yard.
