Trooper is truly a handsome 58# and is a purebred, American Pit Bull Terrier. He was an owner surrender due to a break up. He was surrendered with his sister, who found a home, so now he's waiting patiently for his turn. We have had him for over 2 1/2 years, and it is heartbreaking! He is living his life at Camp Comfort Kennel. He is happy, but he deserves better. He is the best dog--you just need to visit him to fall in love with him! He was adopted for a week, but they were allergic to him, so his chance at a home was foiled again!
Trooper is a very sensitive soul. His feelings are easily hurt! He enjoys snuggling. He bonds very closely with his person and just cannot get enough loving! He loves tennis balls! . He was spotted once dropping the ball at the top of an incline and following it down the whole way. Too cute!
He gets along with other dogs and cats. He has always been around other dogs, but we really want him to be an only dog. He really bonds with his person and deseves their undivided attention.
He is great around children, he has been around ages 2 and up. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body, he just wants to be LOVED!
He is house trained and crate trained, so the transition to any home will be very easy. He has begun his Basic Obedience training. He would rather be playing with his tennis ball. He does want to please. He loves to go for walks, he walks great on just a regular collar. Trooper also enjoys playing in the lake, something we wouldn't have imagined. He does want to enjoy life to the fullest, please help him.

This dog's adoption fee is $150 (plus tax). This includes being neutered, current on Rabies, Distemper, Lyme and Bordetella vaccinations, vet checked, wormed, microchipped with the HomeAgain microchip, heartworm tested (negative) and medicated during the heartworm season (May-Dec) while in our care, and is currently learning Basic Obedience commands and good doggie manners.
