Tootsie Roll

Tootsie Roll is approximately 16 weeks old in these pictures taken March 20, 2008. He is a shy but sweet boy who likes to be the first to explore new things. Tootsie Roll is very quite and laid back.

Tootsie Roll and his siblings, Gummi Bear, Tooti Frutti, Jolly Rancher, and Jelly Belly, were taken in by LP when a lady neighbor called stating that she was concerned about their owner, their mom, and them. The owner was a man on disability whose living conditions were not the best. He loved the dogs but could barely afford food for himself. The lady said that she would pay to have the mother spayed and wanted to know if we could help. Luckily we had a foster home open for the pups to go so we took them in.

Tootsie Roll is our stoic boy. When he was small, he was the most shy in his litter. Today he is quite and reserved. He comes up to you for a good scratch, not really shy anymore, but he is happy letting the other puppies get the 'glory.' I think he is happy here, and relaxed, and he doesn't feel that he needs to hog the attention from the others. But when it?s just us, him and I, by ourselves?his sweet personality really shines through. He likes the personal attention of one on one. Tootsie Roll is a dear to be around.

We believe the puppies are a basic Heinz 57 type dog for our area. We see Shepard, Corgi, Elkhound, Keeshond, and the ears of a Shar Pei. Their mom was a medium sized long hair girl.
