Toots

Toots is an 8-year-old girl who was returned to BHRG after 6 years with her family. Toots is tri-colored and absolutely does not look or act her age. She's a lover, a couch-napper, a dainty eater who will high-jump for treats. She takes nibbles of kibble and hides them around the house for snacking later. She LOVES going for walks and will try to get her own leash out to let you know when she's ready to go. She purrs like a kitten when you scratch her head and back and will chat with you about her day when you get home by yipping, yapping, woofing, and grunting. She really likes it if you chat back with her and tell her about your day. She's a bit greedy for affection but gets along fine with other dogs. But if someone else is being petted, she wants to make sure she gets some, too. Toots loves to curl up on the couch to watch TV with her people, and really, really likes vanilla ice cream. She's completely mastered the dog-door, and is housetrained with it. She doesn't like to be left alone by herself for long, but as long as she's got another dog for companionship, she's fine. She's just learning how to dog-wrestle with her foster-brother, but is happiest confining her puppy-play to games of chase. She may be an older girl, but boy is she FAST!!!! She can outrun even the friskiest pups. She behaves well with kids and other dogs, but hasn't been exposed to cats. If you're looking for a lover-pup, this girl is the one!
