Tony is 6 years old and weighs 75 pounds. Poor Tony came into our rescue from Mississippi. He was found and brought to the vet because he had a bladder stone blockage. After xrays, it was determined that he needed a perineal urethrostomy surgery which saved his life. They rerouted his urethra and he now urinates like a female dog. This does not cause him any issues. He spent a few weeks in the hospital. On top of that, he had heartworm. He was just treated for heartworm and is doing very well and is now negative for heartworm. Tony is a very social dog, loves people, dogs and is fine with cats. He loves belly rubs and wants to be a part of a family. He knows sit, shake and leave it. He will make a wonderful companion for any family. He is a love and he deserves loving family. He started out life badly, but he is so grateful now that he has a warm bed and gets attention. Two of the pictures are of Tony and his vets. This was a very unique surgery. Tony has been with foster since May. He is very attached. He will need time to adjust to a new situation. This is something we recommend for almost all our dogs.
