Tommy Boy

Meet Tommy, he is a beautiful example of a Dogue de Bordeaux/French Mastiff. Tommy Boy hasn't had much in his 3 years. Before he came to us he had never been in a car, never been on a walk, never had the freedom to run freely and play, never had the comfort of sleeping on soft blankets. He was living in a kennel in somebody's basement with 14 other dogs so we don't even know how often he felt sunlight. Despite all this, Tommy has a heart of gold! He is a wonderful dog with a very soft and sensitive personality. He craves affection and loves to give bear hugs. Tommy has that special quality that makes everyone he meets totally fall in love with him. Because of his previous situation, Tommy can be shy and scared in new situations. He has learned alot here in foster care, but he's still scared of some new things. Tommy needs somebody that understands that with time and patience, he will blossom into a more confident dog. He may look tough but he is really just a big baby! Tommy is around 100 pounds, good with dogs but prefers to be the only dog in the household (He deserves to be the only one to get all the attention! :) or he can be placed with another large female.
