Toby

Toby is a very nice male 1 year purebred Chocolate Lab. He is at the shelter through no fault of his own: his former guardian loved him very much but was going not able to find a home to live that would accept pets. Toby's former guardian adored Toby and it was very sad and difficult for him to surrender Toby. Toby was purchased as a pup from a breeder in WI.
Toby is kind of a baby! But in a good way! He makes us laugh...he's like a kid in an adult body! He likes to crawl up on your lap (he still thinks he's a puppy or lap dog) and be pet and held. Toby is house-trained and crate-trained (entering his crate with the words 'bedtime'). He is use to being walked by his former guardian twice a day. He is super smart knowing the commands sit, stay, lie down, come and easy (when given a snack), as well as OK (when you want him to do something).
His former guardian said that he would be a good hunting dog for birds and ducks. He is also a strong swimmer.
