Once he gets comfortable with you, he is such a love bug! He is very focused on the environment around him with smelling and watching what is going on; he is extremely true to his nature as a Catahoula Leopard dog. But what makes him even better is that he loves people and loves to be with people. He loves to play, especially with squeaky balls. He would be fine being the only dog, but he would need a job and he would need to be with you a good portion of the day. Titan has lived his whole life with this one family and unfortunately, due to life events that have nothing to do with him, he needs to be rehomed. This will be tough for him, so he will need a new family that understands the breed and knows this is not a ready-made dog; due to the pandemic he has missed some key socialization periods and has not seen as much as some dogs and the world is still scary to him! Please know that if you do not have ANY Catahoula experience, ANY plans to further train him or plans to exercise him daily with a job that will work his brain and body – please do not apply. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Titans adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
