Hey! Look at me! The minute I walk in, the show stops! I am a 115 pound, 5 year old, beautiful Great Dane! I'm what you would call a "junk yard dog". I was possibly purchased to protect a junk yard because I'm big and can look intimidating. I was rescued by an older man that didn't want to see me be put to death when my owners moved. However, it was difficult for him to continue to take care of me. The truth is though, I am quite the opposite of what my looks might say! I am a big hunk of love! My first day in my foster home challenged all of my instincts. I was given a bath, taken to the vet, fed by new hands, introduced to new dogs, and put into a crate for the night. I passed all of the tests except with the other dogs. I have not played with other dogs much in the past, so they may or may not end up being good companions for me. I did love the cats though! My foster mom was told that I actually raised two in the junk yard, so I hold a special spot in my heart for the cute little things! I love the attention my foster family dishes out. It looks like that's what I've been searching for my whole life. I'm calm and gentle inside, but I can still be found running along side my foster mom for a romping good time outside in the backyard. I'm still finely tuning my potty training, but I haven't gone in my crate at all so far! I am good with kids also!
