My Story
A couple of weeks ago, we had a situation. These two dogs had been dumped at one of our volunteers house in the MIDDLE of the country. It would have been nearly impossible for them to “wander” onto her property. These girls are in good shape, fairly young, well taken care of and well socialized. We speculate they were dumped because for whatever reason (financial or otherwise) their owners could no longer care for them. They have been checked for microchips, and unfortunately, they are not chipped.
Oklahoma, we are in an animal overpopulation crisis. Plain and simple. There are too many animals and not enough adopters/fosters. Please check on your friends, family members, neighbors and see if they need HELP. We can’t help but wonder, if these owners had help, would it have come to this? Would they have been able to keep their animals? Caring for these two defenseless, dumped dogs means fewer animals we can help from the DOZENS of intake requests we receive each week. Please HELP EACH OTHER!
Meet Hunter and Tilly, two young souls full of life. Hunter is a gorgeous black and white pointer mix. Tilly is the beautiful golden terrier mix. It is estimated these girls are 2-3 years old. They're gentle and friendly, always ready to give you a sweet, welcoming tail wag. They love hugs (never mind that they are 50 pounds! They think they’re just babies!)! These smart companions are full of energy, always eager for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. They could benefit from some training, but they're quick learners and eager to please. Hunter and Tilly are more than just pets, they're companions who will bring joy and unconditional love into your home. Their past doesn't define them, their future does. And their future could be with you, providing you with the sweetest friendship. Adopt Hunter and Tilly, and let them fill your home with love, laughter, and lots of wagging tails.
