Tika

Meet Tika! Tika is a 7 year old, Spayed female dog. She is a Husky x Collie mix. Miss Tika has gone through quite the journey that ended with her being surrendered to the HSHP. We originally had no clue where Tika came from, but later learned about some of her recent histrory through an informant. Tika lived the first 7 years of her life in a loving home that spoiled her. Unfortunately, Tika's owner passed away and she found herself at the Wakeeney Vet up for adoption. She was adopted and brought to Hays where she was almost immeadiatly picked up as a stray and brought to the shelter. Her new owner never did claim her and alas she is now available for adoption through us. We are still learning what Tika likes and disslikes. We do know that despite her age, she is still a spunky and playful Husky. Tika does seem to know basic commands and listens well. We are not sure how Tika does with cats and other dogs. We would highly suggest a meet and greet with any animals in the home prior to adoption. We also are not sure of how Tika does around children. Again, we suggest bringing children out to meet her to ensure everyone is comfortable! Tika is current on her vaccines and is now ready to find a home that is committed to adopting her and loving her.
