Well, Tigger and the Pug who she went to live with are doing very well together and Tigger may just have found a forever home! We will keep you posted on Tigger's adoption and wish Tigger all the best!
Hi, I'm Tigger. I've been owned by a backyard breeder all my life and a few days ago, I ended up at the shelter in very poor condition. I was feeling pretty bad and pretty sad, but a nice lady came to meet me with her little pug and took me home!
She gave me a bath and she is being really nice to me! So I am feeling much better! She says I can stay at her house until I am feeling lots better and someone wants to give me a forever home! It's so nice to be clean and have a warm place to stay and to have good people taking care of me. I am such a good dog, maybe my life is going to be better now!
TIgger is in a wonderful foster home and we expect her to feel much better soon. She is on her way to having some well-deserved happiness in her life.
Once Tigger has been cared for medically, she will need a nice home to enjoy the rest of her life in.
Tigger was dropped off at the SPCA by a breeder who didn't want to breed her anymore and didn't care enough to even find her a home. Her four siblings were also dropped off at the shelter and are still there. They are doing well but need foster homes too.

This sad story is a very good example of why you should not support backyard breeders by purchasing animals from them. Breeders like this one are not breeding for the love of the breed. They do not even provide adequate care for the dogs they bred and have no issue disposing of them when their job of breeding puppies is done, very sad but very true.
