My Story

Tiger is a tiny (about 4-5 lbs) purebred male chihuahua. He was surrendered to a high kill shelter in upper SC by his owner who had raised him from a pup but was too ill to care for him any longer. We are told that Tiger stood and watched his master walk off and leave him - then started to scream uncontrollably. This broke the heart of a staff worker in the shelter who called us. To add further to his agony, during transport, Tiger's toes on both back feet were crushed (still not sure of the details of just how it happened). Two of his toes had to be amputated.

Despite his traumatic past, Tiger is a sweet, affectionate little chihuahua. He needs a little while to warm up (typical chi behavior), but then very devoted to his person. Tiger is young - only about 18 months - and weighs less than 5 lbs. He is too small and too nervous for homes with young children. Tiger is wonderful with other dogs and cats, tho.

If you are looking for a tiny, happy, affectionate lap dog who will cherish you - then apply to adopt Tiger today! He will bring you years of joyful unconditional love.

Adoption to approved applicant only - application found at www.canineshelterrescue.org or call Jean, foster mom, at 706 993-0437
