My Story

It's TIFFY TIME! Say hello to Tiffy! She is currently just 19 pounds, almost 4 months old, and we think she may be a shorty Jack Russell / Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Tiffy's video here: https://youtu.be/NpstyhWEiWA Tiffy has a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! This little bundle of joy is on the lookout for her forever home – could it be you? This adorable puppy has it all – the looks, the personality, the love, AND the training. We have to brag that Tiffy’s current foster is a dog trainer, so this puppy is amazing in ALL the right ways. She has already learned commands like sit, down, place, break, leave it, and many more! She is constantly around other dogs of all sizes at her foster home, so this happy puppy is amazingly well socialized, very responsive, and oh-so-loving. We are so proud of everything our fosters do! Tiffy is a gorgeous white all over with tan on her soft floppy ears and face, and a single round tan spot just above her tail that is way too cute. You can just make out some light tan freckles on her body too – this dog is a stunner! Here’s what will get you hooked on the Terrific Tiffy - this girl has a happy, joyful personality that shines like the sun. Tiffy will make you smile with her playfulness and pure adoration. She is very friendly to everyone she meets, and she’s a natural people-magnet. She loves soft stuffies and chew toys, and you can sit and watch her play for hours. She will entice you to play with her and you won’t be able to resist – the way her nose wrinkles when she grabs a toy is too cute for words – you just have to see it in person. Tiffy’s soulful eyes are lined in black – how this gorgeous girl got all the natural eyeliner is a mystery to us. Tiffy was found abandoned inside the gates of a local South Houston swimming pool. We can’t imagine why, but are so glad to find this warm and affectionate puppy a new loving home. Some notes from her (trainer) foster: Personality Traits ?Playful Dynamo: Tiffy is a ball of energy who loves to play! Whether it's a game of fetch, tug-of-war, or simply running around the yard, Tiffy’s zest for life is contagious. ? Social Butterfly: Tiffy adores making new friends, both canine and human. She’s great with dogs of all sizes and loves to be part of the action, making her a fantastic addition to any family. ? Smart Cookie: As a typical Jack Russell Terrier mix, Tiffy is intelligent and curious. She loves exploring new places and figuring out puzzle toys. Her sharp mind makes her a quick learner. ? Cuddle Bug: After a day full of adventures, Tiffy loves nothing more than curling up for some snuggle time. She’s affectionate and loves to be close to her people. Training ? Potty Training Pro: Tiffy is well on her way with potty training. She’s catching on quickly and just needs a consistent routine to get it down pat. ? Learning the Ropes: Tiffy is also learning basic obedience commands. She’s a fast learner and responds well to positive reinforcement. With a bit more training, she’ll be a well-behaved companion. Tiffy is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
