Thumbelina was one of eight innocent dogs rescued from a horrible hoarding situation. She was terrified of humans when she arrived. She took great comfort in the company of the other dogs with whom she came in, and we knew to give her some space as she began to heal. Her safe place was under her Kuranda bed. She would peek out at the caregivers and watch closely as they went about their business. Not long thereafter, Thumbelina decided that humans are her friends. She is still a little bit shy, but she has come really far quite quickly. She still adores her doggy buddies, but the humans also get to show her love and affection. She’s a quirky little girl who we all love very much.
