My Story

is a one and a half year old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped Border Collie/Lab/Irish Wolfhound cross. Thor is a happy, playful, loving, four-legged family member! Always wanting to be a part of whatever is going on; he loves to play with his friends, both human and most any other dog. Thor does very well with really young children and is very gentle even though he is a large dog. He also loves to play fetch, run around the backyard, go for walks and bike rides, and play at the dog park. He also likes to curl up and cuddle in front of the TV and be a couch potato!

Recently, we started crate training with Thor and he is doing fantastic. Although he does fine when left out in the house alone. Thor may have some food sensitivies so does better when fed only dog food. With us he has been without any reactions for about a month. Thor has a fun list of tricks and is always willing to learn a new one because he is very food motivated. Thor also travels very well and gets excited when he hears the word “truck” because he knows it means he’s going somewhere new and exciting!

Thor is a very sweet boy and everyone loves him once they meet him. He would do very well in a family where he could be another one of the “kids”. He makes a great brother to both other pets and humans! If you are interested in providing a family and forever home for Thor, please fill out the online application.
Adoption Application
NEW HOPE DOG RESCUE is not a shelter. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes. WE NEED FOSTER HOMES TO HELP MORE DOGS - CONTACT US TODAY!!!

Definitions:

Pending - means that we are working through the adoption process with the 1st applicant. We usually don't add the pending until we are pretty sure the adoption will go through (like at the home visit stage)

On Trial or Trial Visit - means that the dog is in their new home for up to 2 weeks before the adopters need to commit to keeping the dog. We want to make sure that everyone is happy with the new living arrangements! We allow this option for everyone except very long distance adoptions (too far to drive).

Adopted - you know!! A happy ending for a homeless dog. We try to let everyone know when we have the final word. Within about 24 hours, the dog's bio will be moved to our happy tails section!
