Thor is an 8 month old Shepherd mix. He came in with an adult female Newfoundland that he was very devoted to. They were strays and she most likely cared for him like a mother. They were hanging around a neighborhood probably looking for food and shelter, and a man living there was going to shoot them. A kind neighbor brought them to us. This little guy has had a rough start but in spite of that is a happy, sweet boy. We really hope that he doesn't have to grow up at the rescue and can find a family soon.
He's a very friendly, happy and playful dog. He gets along with other dogs and would do well in a family with kids 5 and up. No cats. He's very smart and our staff is teaching him to respond to commands. He's a fast learner.
Please come and meet Thor if you are looking for a puppy to complete your family and have some time to help him continue his training. We can tell that he is going to grow up to be a great dog!
