Tennessee Sam, better know as Sam to his friends, is about as loving, happy and easy going a little friend as you could hope for. “As you can see from my picture, I’m as golden yellow and adorable as a Lab, but my white toes and perky ears point to a mysterious ancestor. You know what else is a mystery? How I ended up in a rural shelter far, far from home with ‘one day left’. Not sure what that means, but my foster parents drove more than 200 miles to get me!
“While I’m huge on affection and good nature, I’m just about 53 snuggly pounds. I’m excited to meet new friends, but settle quickly and curl up quietly on my pillow or the couch. Oh, I do love the couch and to sneak in and lie on the bed! My foster mom is thrilled with my housetraining and crate training progress. I’m pretty smart and truly do live to please; I want to do everything just right. I’ve already learned to “sit”, am a good boy on the leash and am a great companion in the car. There are three cats and a dog in my foster home and we all get along great. There’s nothing I enjoy more than hanging out with people.
“I’m a lucky boy to feel so loved by my foster mom and dad. Not only did they drive all that way especially for me, they gave me a marvelous bath, give me wonderful tummy rubs and toss the ball for me to pounce on. I’m just a very cute, friendly little bundle of love who can’t wait to go home with you and make every single day as sunny for you as it is for me!”
