Sydney is a 3-4 year old female Australian Cattle Dog or Blue Heeler who is described as a 'Wallflower'. Shy yet charming canine searching for patient owner with relaxed lifestyle. Looking for gentle guidance to help me come out of my shell. Treat me sweet and kind and I will blossom. (Internally motivated)
Sydney weighs about 28 pounds and is a very loyal dog. She was on the run for a couple of months before someone caught her and brought her here.
Sydney barks and is very, very stressed by all of the dogs around her at the shelter. So if you come see her in her kennel, please ask us to bring her out to the exercise yard so you can see how she really is.
Sydney would probably do best as the sole dog in the house. She would also do best in a home without children.
She would love a fenced in yard because she is very fast and loves to do zoomies.
She seems to be fine with cats and kittens.
She is potty trained and kennel trained.
At her foster home Sydney loved to cuddle on the couch.

All our dogs have been spayed or neutered or arrangements will be made if currently too young. They will be treated for fleas, bathed, vaccinated against distemper/parvo, treated against general parasites, and if of age, tested for heart worms and vaccinated against rabies. If underage for these things at the time of adoption, they are to be done at the adopter’s cost when the dog becomes of age. They will be microchipped at the time of adoption.
