Sweetapple

Sweetapple is a 9 year old Lab mix who desperately needs a home. He is very anxious in the confines of the kennel. He has some knee issues, we believe he has had surgery on one of his knees already and have done surgery on the other knee on 4/8/10 for a torn ligament. He needs about 6 weeks of recovery. He really loves to chase ball but this is not a good activity for his knees. He also loves treats and is very food motivated. Sweetapple needs someone to take him home so he doesn't spend the rest of his life stressed in a kennel... 10/4/10: The newsflash: While Sweetapple was being walked outside this morning a lady was just leaving after dropping off her brother's cat, who he adopted from us, for his neuter procedure. She saw Sweetapple and immediately recognized him! She questioned the kennel staff member about him and soon realized he is a stray in our program and has been with us for nearly a year. After talking with her more we realized that this was their dog that they lost last fall! They unfortunately were not aware of how to register his microchip# so he was never linked to them. They did recall about his previous leg surgery and noted some other scars on him. We are confident that Sweetapple, who's real name is Murphy has been reunited with his original owners:) They made a generous donation to the stray program and he is now at home with his family and other dog buddy.
