Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea was born on May 9/09. She was brought to our shelter along with her 5 siblings after they were orphaned due to the death of their mother. She has been hand raised in foster care since she was 9 days old. She is black and tan with a bit of white. Sweet Pea is very sweet and affectionate and loves to be cuddled. She is the quietest one of the females. She is happy to have attention but won't knock the others over trying to get it. She enjoys spending time with her siblings, and is well socialized with other dogs and cats. She sleeps quietly through the night and is completely kennel trained. One of our young volunteers offered to take Sweet Pea to obedience training through 4-H. She is doing really well and getting extra socialization with other dogs and people of various ages. She knows the commands "heel", "sit", "down", "stay", etc. She has come a long way and is a confident and outgoing dog and is thriving in a foster home setting. Now she needs a home of her own so she can show off all of her training! Since Sweet Pea has been with us over 6 months her adoption fee has been reduced to $120, which includes spay/neuter, shot, rabies shot and microchip. Puppies that are not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption will require a $300 refundable (upon proof of surgery being presented to MLDHS) spay/neuter deposit.
