Suzie is a one year old (born July 2, 2005) Beagle / Jack Russel mix. She has been vet checked, spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and tested negative for heartworm. Suzie enjoys being held and just relaxes in your arms! However, she apparently had some trauma in her past and is in the process of coming out of her shell. Suzie can act fearful and frightened at times, but has never shown any signs of aggression. She gets along well with other non-aggressive dogs and seems to be calmed and comforted by them. Suzie can be a playful, tail-wagging dog, and then later will be frightened by something. Her foster home feels a quieter home would be best for her. She does fine with the children who are in her foster home, but we would prefer adopting her to a home with no children, or very respectful, older children. It would also be helpful if her new family would be home most of the time to give her a chance to bond well and continue to blossom.
