My Story

Sugar is one of 3 shepherds that were dumped in a Surrey Blueberry field in March 2024. At that time they were approximately 9 months old. Sugar is the most fearful of the 3 shepherds and is taking longer to bond with humans. She is not aggressive, but needs someone who moves slowly, someone is is patient and willing to help her bond with humans more.. Sugar would do better in a home with another confident and friendly dog friend. She LOVES other dogs. She is NOT a candidate for dog parks, unless she is kept on a long line, because she won't come right back to her person.. she will come close to the person she is attached to, but doesn't come all the way. With patience and time, Sugar will make an amazing companion, like her sister Spice and her brother Shep. We are seeking a foster or foster to adopt home within the lower mainland only. No apartments please. Fully fenced yard in a quiet rural area is a must. Because she is shy and not 100% trusting of humans she requires an adult home only. Sugar will be spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and flea treated. Her adoption fee is $795 Please copy and paste the following link into your web browser to complete an adoption application. www.lowermainlandhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/ A home visit is required.
