Sugar and Cookie

Meet Sugar and Cookie! These two approximately 1.5 year old adorable Shar-Pei’s are bonded sisters with a pretty sad story. They were dumped outside the county shelter and we’re terrified. The shelter staff and some bystanders were trying to round them up. Sugar (the black one) bolted onto the train tracks and was hit by a passing train, then she managed to get down onto the street and get hit by a passing bus. It was awful. She managed to survive but did have to have her right rear leg amputated. Sugar recovered really well from surgery and has adapted really well with only three legs. These two girls are very sweet and love to play with other dogs but they are shy when they meet new people, especially men. They warm up pretty quickly, especially when you have treats :-) **Please note: Indigo Rescue only adopts is to homes within 30 miles of Beaverton, Oregon.
