ADOPTED 12-5-09, thank you Tristan of Laurel, MT! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~UPDATE 11-20-09. Surgery went smooth as silk. Thank you SO much Lona of Suncrest WA and Lynne of Hayden Lake, ID for your more than generous donations to help with the cost of this as well as food and care for Stormy! SO, Stormy is now "cat broke", housebroke, and VERY, VERY crate trained. She is a wonderful dog, that just wants to be loved, and be touching you. A better name for her might have been "shadow", I have to be careful if I change direction suddenly, as 9 X out of 10, I'll trip over this moose who's never more than 2 steps behind me! She is excellent with all the other dogs here, and learned not to chase cats or chickens in just one day of training. She is not a barker, but she IS a drooling machine when it's chow time. Letting her drink water in the house is a mess as well, so we try to limit that to out on the porch. The only aggression she's shown to other dogs at all is at chow time, and she doesn't want anyone messing about near her food bowl, or if treats are being doled out, so we are just being diligent in feeding her away from the rest of the pack, and correcting her when she wants to try to claim other's. She's a quick learner, and very happy to please you. She does snore a bit at night, but not at all as much as I thought she would. She sleeps through the night on a pet bed on the floor next to my bed, and she's Hell to wake up in the morning, she does NOT like to go outside in the cold... she usually sleeps in until it's time for me to leave for work! She weighs 130#'s and is still growing. She's thin but, that's not a terrible thing though, as it isn't good for these giants to be overweight. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In 11-13-09. Owner surrender, moving and couldn't (wouldn't) take. Beautiful 2 yr old female brindle purebred English Mastiff. Raised with 3 other dogs, kids and lot's of people on a Reservation in Montana. Super social girl, with a facination for cats... so far she just stares at them real intently, but I think if one ran, she'd chase it down! She came from a home with Heelers, who probably chased them regularly, so she learned that bad habit. I'm going to work on breaking her of that. She's never lived inside before, never even been allowed in a house before. She's really loving it and learning manners quickly, she's very smart. I'll have her housebroke in no time I'm sure. She's already contentedly sleeping in a crate. She will be spayed on Thursday 11-19-09, God willing.... please send donations if you can, to help cover the cost of having this beast spayed!!! She's a darling dog, who drools ALOT and eats MORE and needs a Mastiff experienced owner please, INDOOR home, other dogs fine. SUPER with kids of all ages.
