Mini Australian Shepherd (Purebred) - Stevie is a snuggler and loves his people. He is well trained and also loves being outdoors. He is very playful, and true to his breed, has lots of energy. Aussie's are generally a very smart breed and Stevie is no exception. He is well trained and completed a puppy training class when he was young. He needs a home that can mentally and physically stimulate him. Whether they bring him places where he can hang out with them and run around or simply take him on walks and play some fetch or tug o' war with him, he does require some form of exercise at least 3-5 days per weeek. On the flip side, if you are hanging out at home and watching tv he loves to hang with you and get his snuggles in. He mellows down nicely especially when he is able to be close. Stevie loves everyone and is great with children and other dogs. I would, however, recommend he not be adopted into a home with small children due to him possibly showing some alpha behavior towards them. Of course, a home with an experienced dog person knowing the signs to look for and how to prevent that, could be an exception.
