My Story

Stella is a beautiful Black & White girl, we guess she is a mix of Labrador and St. Bernard weighing in at around 50 pounds and nine months old. (3-09) She was surrendered by her owner who indicated she had dug a hole in his yard and he no longer wanted her. She appears to have had very little contact with people and was never allowed into the house. Stella's life changed completely the day she was selected to join the Pups On Parole Program at the California Correctional Center. She was a very shy and frightened girl but now that she is now being loved, socialized and trained in basic obedience by her inmate fire fighter trainer, she is coming around to realize life can be good. She is responding to love by being a very quick learner. Stella loves playing and having fun with the other dogs and wants to please. She may still have some growing to do and looks like she will be lab size. Stella is spayed, current on vaccinations, micro chipped, and heart worm negative.
