Stella

Meet Stella, a sweet older English Coonhound. She is a very gentle and quiet dog and just looking for a soft place to lay her head at night. She is very affectionate and likes to be petted. Stella is very laid back and not hyper. Her foster mom reports that she has not heard her bark. She is friendly with other dogs. In fact, her favorite playmate in her foster home is a one-year-old Pit Bull. Stella and Tank love to "wrestle" and play. Even though she is older, she is not a couch potato. She is housetrained and well-mannered in the house. She loves people and wags her tail really fast when she meets someone new. She likes to go for walks and doesn't pull on the leash at all. Stella was rescued after we found her living in a rural Stewart County area where people were using her for target practice. She has some old buckshot wounds, but they are healed now. Due to this, she will not be adopted to anyone planning to use her for hunting purposes. She is definitely gun shy. Stella is vaccinated, spayed and heartworm negative.
