My Story

Stanley Squirt is our latest and greatest mini addition to our bully breed family. He escaped deathrow from a local shelter, and his rescue made space for other dogs to prevent their euthanasia. Adoption saves lives!! He was neutered and vaccinated and tested negative for heartworms!! We were even able to check him with dogs and cats and older kids and he has been fabulous with every single one. He met a female chihuahua and loved her, as well as hanging out with a Siamese cat (showed interest but preferred the company of the dog :).

Stanley is a little taller than your average chihuahua. Minus the bulk, there appears to be a touch of what we think is French Bulldog or Boston Terrier in his lineage (in his face). Also, he has a delicate build a bit like an Italian greyhound. We did have someone write and tell us he is what you call a "reinder chihuahua"! Whatever this little guy has in him, it's all adorable! He is currently living in a foster home with a boy and two cats and is learning house rules like cratetraining, sitting for treats (he is very responsive when treats are involved!), walking nicely on a leash, among other things. He knows sit, has almost mastered lie down, sits pretty, is working on stay (but it's so hard b/c he lives to be close to his people), etc. He is incredibly smart!. We think he would do best in an adult only home or where there are older children who will not be rough with him. He is a small 8-10 pounds of pure love and a young one year of age.
