Squirt

So sometimes even Pit Bull people miss-ID their breed. When we first saw Squirt aka Burger, he was a shy little, chunky guy just hoping for some love. We figured him to be about 6 months old, but it was such a whirlwind day that we never even checked his teeth. Well it turns out that Burger is more like a year old, and what we thought was puppy fat was actually just a little extra chunk on an otherwise dainty physique.

So Burger has now come into his own, and with exercise has gotten into tip-top shape.... and well low and behold what we have here is a 35 lb., cute as a button, JRT x Cattle Dog. Thanks to his foster mom for correcting our initial breed ID, and seeing burger for what he truly is: a smart, sensitive, fun herding breed! He is smaller than a typical ACD, and finer boned, with some definite JRT facial features.

Burger can still be over-whelmed at times, but he is doing awesome! He LOVES other dogs, and we would like to place him with another canine or two. As is typical of his breed mix, he is high energy. He is an excellent jogging/biking partner. He is also very quiet, and a fine choice for an apartment dog, as he hardly makes a peep. He is great in the car and has developed some excellent house manners. Good off-leash and very loyal to boot. Burger is a fine catch for a herding breed loving home!

Burger is neutered, vaccinated, tattooed, microchipped, dewormed and deflead. His adoption is $250 with $50 refundable upon proof of completing obedience classes.
