Rest in Peach, December 31, 2005
Spot, though your stay with us was short, we loved you as if you were our own for the previous 8 years of your life. We wanted so much for you, but in the end, all we could do was end your pain. God speed, Spot. You will be remembered.
Arriving December 29th
Dear Kris Kringle,
My name is Spot, and I am one sad pupper. My owner turned me into a rural pound where I had no chance of ever getting out alive because I am 8 years old, and a little chubby (well, ok, a lot chubby). I was fed and loved and fed some more, and then thrown away like a piece of trash. I don't understand. I was a good boy, a VERY good boy, but yet I was facing the death chamber, scheduled to die December 27th, but then a sign was stuck to my chart that said "RESCUED". Thank you, Santa! I am traveling a long distance with Bailey to come to Young At Heart, and though I need to spend Christmas alone and sad, I have so much to look forward to! I am heading for a better life, one with kids and dogs and lots of love! Did I tell you how good I am with kids? I am quiet and friendly, too, so maybe a nice family will take me in. But until then, I am going to dream of a warm cozy bed, lots of love and attention, and kisses for my new home, wherever that may be. And Santa, though I may look like a sausage now, my New Year's resolution is to lose 10 pounds. I promise I can do it, now that I have a future! Will you please tell someone to fill out an application to adopt me?
Your favorite snausage-loving dog,
Spot
