This is one of the survivors of the Napavine fire that sadly ended in tragedy. #napavine12.
It has taken a little bit of time for them to overcome their trauma but thanks to their wonderful foater homes, Spoon has definitely made amazing strides to the adjustment to normal doggie life. He loves snuggles and although he is crate trained and does quite well in his "den", sleeping and decompressing to the world, he would love to sleep in bed with his person and cuddle all night long. Thats how he got his name, He is 100% the little spoon in the relationship. ??
He can be a bit standoffish when he meets new people. Like with all of us, he warms up quickly to friendly faces, especially when they tale things slow and bribe him with food and smooth talking.
He even has recently discovered the joy of toys. For these dogs that is a huge step!
He really has come so far from his past and we really believe it's time for him to find that wonderful forever someone who will give him the security that we know he is ready for.
Because he was altered so late in life, He isn't 100% potty trained YET, (marking behavior), but he wears his belly band with no problem.
Spoon is definitely the definition of a rescue. His past does not define his future and we know that after seeing how far he has come that he will go even further when she is in a home with his forever person and maybe even another confident companion to lead him on his new path in life.
Spoon is altered, microchipped, up-to-dates on his vaccines and has had a recent dental. He is all set to find his forever home. His adoption fee is $250 and helps to ensure that we can continue to provide a safe haven for dogs like spoon and his friends in the future.
Thank you for considering a rescue and looking at spoon. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. We tried to answer all questions as quickly as possible. Thank you for supporting rescues
