Meet Spices! Hi! My name is Spices! You wouldn’t know it by looking at me, but I had a very rough start to life. I had a euthanasia date set, but luckily my foster mom scooped me up before that could happen to me! And thank goodness she did, because I am one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet! My foster mom thinks I am a German Shepherd Dog & Carolina Dog mix (this is just a guess based on my looks and behavior). I am 1 year and 8 months old and 55 pounds of love! I came to Wisconsin on March 16th, 2024 and everything here was so strange to me. I lived in the shelter for almost 6 months down in Alabama, and before that I was a stray, so my foster mom had to train me like I was a puppy! I am potty trained and I know sit, stay, lay, down, and paw. I tested heart worm positive in December 2023, but I did so well going through my treatments, and now I feel great! I no longer have any restrictions and I’m not on any medications either! Some of my favorite things to do are sunbathe outside, play in the garden, help my foster mom water her flowers, chew on bones, play fetch, and snuggle! I am so sweet and an amazing companion. I don’t get along the best with the dogs in my foster home, so I have been setup with my own “apartment” in the house. I get really excited around other dogs and sometimes come off “too strong”. If I were to have a doggy sibling, one who is mellow and submissive would be best.d My dream is to have the best family ever adopt me! I am pretty playful, so a home with older or no children would be best. I love going on walks (I walk so well on a leash!!) and I would make an amazing running buddy! Want to meet me?
