Spartacus is approximately 1 - 1 1/2 years old in these pictures taken September 22, 2007. He is a friendly, gentle, and loving boy. Smart too. Nothing makes him happier than being able to sit by you as you work around the yard. He just loves watching and being with you. Spartacus walks well on a leash and enjoys riding in the car. He has a great time playing with all of the dogs at the shelter. Spartacus is a real lover boy and would be a great addition to anyone's family.
Spartacus came to us after he was abandoned by his owner for three (3) weeks in the country. The guy's neighbor finally called him and said someone was going to shoot the dog if he didn't come get it. They were tired of taking care of Spartacus for him. When the man finally went to get him, Spartacus was curled up on the back porch with three (3) lab puppy mix puppies that were about 3 - 4 weeks old. Their mother was no where in sight. Keeping them warm and safe was the only thing he could do for them. That proves how loyal and gentle Spartacus is. The puppies are now in a foster home and will be available for adoption in another month.
