My Story

**********Adopted 5/10/09**********

Soni would LOVE an active family. She adores being outside...she even listens about staying in the yard.

Soni is a doll!! She really just wants love, to be in the same room with you and loves her 'scooby snacks '. She does this cute 'yodling' thing with her paws, which I think you can view on her petfinder.com video.

It took Soni almost 2 weeks to adjust to us. She was shy and nervous. Since we have 3 other dogs, we were hoping she would bounce right into playing with them. After a few days shy of 2 weeks, up until now, she plays with my dogs a lot. She is potty trained, but did have some accidents here and there for about the first week. She 'yodles' when she wants out or that is her trick in order to get her scooby snack. She knows how to SIT and GO LAYDOWN. She doesn't beg for food. We don't allow dogs on our furniture (husband rules) but she has never even tried. She might put her front paws on the couch so you can see she wants love, but other than that she stays down.

Soni listens well, comes right to me when her name is called. We crate her and she only barks when our trouble-maker Lab barks. We have her eat in her cage since she tries to gobble everyone else's food up and she is perfectly happy with that. Then they all go outside and then spend their time playing and getting love from us. She shares bones well with the other dogs, haven't seen any 'food aggression' at all. She just wants to be by your feet.

Soni adores my 8 year old step daughter. She has never really opened her mouth to kiss, growl or anything. She is tolerant of my mom's small dogs...I believe small children would be good for Soni. She has the most beautiful eyes! Once you meet her, you will know what I mean!
