My Story

ADOPTED! - Snickers is just a year of age, and he is a sweet, happy, extremely loving, gentle fellow who is guaranteed to make you smile! He's also VERY agile, athletic, and smart! (In two minutes we taught him how to "sit".) We would love to see him adopted by someone who would compete in agility with him. Snickers has a beautiful, very soft, velvety, brindle colored coat and unusual hazel-colored eyes! He is a real people lover, so we would like him to be adopted by a retired person or someone who works part time or out of their home so that he won't have to be a latchkey dog. Snickers is already 95% housebroken, but he needs someone to be home to take him out on a regular basis, so that he doesn't have any accidents which would set his housetraining back. Snickers weighs 15 lbs., and he is 14" tall (to the top of his back) and 14" from his chest to his rear. Because he has a very slight build and fine bones, we would prefer that Snickers not be adopted by a family with young children for fear he would be tripped over or inadvertently injured. He wants a safely fenced yard (please, no invisible fencing) and his new family MUST have another small dog for Snickers to play with, since he really loves playing with our other foster dogs. (He's very gentle with our cat too.) We appreciate your interest, but--if you do not have another small dog for Snickers to play with--we will NOT be able to adopt to you. Snickers has been neutered, microchipped, immunized, and wormed, and his adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in learning more about him, please write and tell us a little about yourself and your family situation and your lifestyle. If we feel Snickers would be a good fit for you--and vice versa--we will send you an adoption application. Our e-mail address is: [email protected]
Please click on "One Starfish Rehoming Connections" under the photo to read more about our rescue's adoption policies and fees. We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name below this dog's photo) before contacting us.Thanks so much for your interest in adopting a rescue dog!
