Smokey is a year and a half year old wonderful little dog whose Mom had to give him up because she moved to a nursing home. I am his foster Mom until we can find the perfect new person or family to be his forever home.
Smokey loves nothing better than to be beside you no matter what activity you are involved in. He walks fairly well on a leash and will come when called -( have not tried this in a non-secure area yet). He has the energy of a little dog but is not wild and crazy. Smokey is house trained and knows how to use a doggy door.
Smokey would be the perfect dog for someone looking for a tough little dog that has the personality of a puppy without all of the potty training. I think he is very intelligent and would learn whatever you want as he loves attention. He gets along with all size dogs, but gets a little jealous if the other dogs get more love then he thinks they deserve. Cats are of interest but a simple no and he quits the chase. He weighs 12 lbs which is great when he wants to sit in your lap and cuddle. Smokey would be the perfect travel companion as well as keeping you company when at home.
Smokey has been neutered, utd on vaccination, and is heartworm negative.
Smokey's adoption fee is $400 and is a tax deductable donation to Paws and Claws Rescue.
