Meet Smokey. This sweet boy is a victim of the economy, his owners home was foreclosed upon and Smokey couldn't come to the new home. Smokey was left behind in the empty backyard. Smokeys owner would stop by and feed him every so often but he is extremely thin and needs to gain around 20lbs or so. Smokey has gained about 7lbs since arriving into rescue and he has been neutered and updated on all of his shots and he is ready to go into his new home. Smokey is a VERY active dog, he needs to go to a home where he will get lots of excercise and he also needs to attend obedience class as he has no formal training. We do know that Smokey was a house dog at one time and he was housetrained and he is crate trained as well. Smokey has lived with children his whole life and he has lived with other dogs including small Chihuahua's and he is trustworthy.
