My Story

Adorable alert! Smiley is available for Adoption. Have you ever thought of Huskies as charming dogs, but maybe just a bit too big and rowdy to have personally? Well, do we have a deal for you! Meet Smiley. Part Alaskan Klee Kai? Maybe some Keeshound? What about a Pomsky? Anything is possible with this spitz-type charmer; the only sure thing is he is handsome and a bundle of energy in a small package. This love bug was found as a stray at 8th and Main in Tillamook. He was dragging a slip-lead and has no chip or tag or any identification. We are guessing he is about 3 years old and weighs about 25 pounds. Smiley’s history is a mystery, but his intentions are pretty clear. HE NEEDS SOMEONE TO LOVE AND BE LOVED BY! Ahem. As bouncy as this little boy can be, he rides like a luxury car when on leash – no pulling, no jerking, just smooth sailing right along. He can be a bit pushy and demanding with some barking and some jumping up on people, but that can be worked on and diminished. Smiley will enjoy life with an owner, or owners, who work from home or have plenty of time to spend with him. He is not a fan of being alone, and who can blame him? He may do well with another canine companion to provide support and friendship. Of course, they’ll need to meet to make sure they’re of like mind about sharing a home and people. Smiley, like many small dogs, has a bit of a Napoleon complex so that is something to be aware of if you have a dog that may not react well to a small guy coming in strong. He rides well in a car and seems to have warmed up to kennel life with the help of a toy. He's a fan soft fluffy toys to shake and chew. He snuggled right up and settled right down with soft soothing pets and encouragement the first time we met. Being on the young side, he can be a little mouthy but responds to a gentle reminder not to use his teeth/mouth. He ran the most adorable zoomies around one of our yards and then raced back to check in with me. Please fill out an adoption application to set up your blind date with Smiley to see if your stars are meant to align. You know you wanna! ? https://form.jotform.com/223087866890167
