My Story

Sloppy Joe was found as a stray in Habersham County. He is tri-colored, up-to-date on shots, and is neutered. He is beautiful with huge ears, soulful eyes, and big feet. Joe has a deep, pretty voice. He rides well in the car and enjoys leash walks. Joe is a sweet boy who approaches everyone with his tail wagging. He gets along with adults, children and dogs. His foster brother loves to wrestle and play with him till they both collapse exhausted. He will chase a cat that runs but ignores one who stands its ground. He was a little skinny but is rapidly putting on weight and loves to lay in his foster dad’s lap in the recliner thinking he is a Pekingese. He does not like to be alone so should not be adopted by someone who is gone all day. Company in the form of people and another dog would make him happiest. His housebreaking is coming along and he only has accidents when his signals “I need to go!” are ignored. His paws are huge, his ears are a mile long and his eyes are sad little basset hound eyes. Sloppy Joe is ready to find a forever home! For more photos and for information on adopting this dog, please visit http://www.bhrg.org.
