My Story

Sloan will be attending our adoption drive at Albertson's on Pershing Blvd in Cheyenne from 10am-3pm on July 10th. Come out and meet him!

Sloan is great! He passed his cat test with flying colors. I don't think he's ever seen a cat before because he kept giving them a play bow like they were going to romp around with him! He sniffed and sniffed, but was very gentle and the cats didn't mind so much. Once he was swatted at and he left that cat alone afterwards. He gives no indication that he wants to chase the cats or do them any harm. Sloan appears to be a very gentle dog, he likes to get right in my face and snuff at me and give me very gentle licks. His tail is always wagging. He loves to sleep on the couch or a dog bed on the floor, he seems very happy with a soft place to lay.

Sloan plays really well with our other dog who is very rough and tumble and likes to chase around, but he is respectful of older dogs and gives them their space. This tells me he is very adapatable to the cues that the other dogs are giving off. Sloan will sleep through the night in his crate, but he whines about it for awhile first. If we tell him to hush and ignore the whining for a bit he settles in and sleeps.

He really loves to play outside and he'll fetch and play tug with his toys. He does get pretty excited with small children and doesn't seem to realize he can't play with them like he plays with the other dogs. Supervised play with small kids would be recommended.

Sloan is an approximately 2 year old male mixed breed dog (we've wagered our best guess) who just recently arrived at BDAR. Sloan walks well on a leash, his adoption fee is $150.
