Slick was a stray and ended up in a kill shelter. When no one came to claim him and his time was up, the Waverly Pet Rescue took him in so that he would not die. He is up-to-date on shots, heartworm negative, and neutered. He is living in a foster home.
Slick is about 5 years old and weighs about 8 pounds. He is a friendly little fellow and very sweet. His foster home is working on housetraining him. He will need continued training in a new home. Will update this more as we get to know him.
1/21/10 UPDATE: Slick is in his foster home. Guess he is super skinny and needs to be fattened up. He is a sweetheart and loves to snuggle in your lap. Does well with little children. Went right up to them and let the kids pet him. He is such a nice little guy!

WE ARE A NO-KILL 501 C 3 NON-PROFIT RESCUE. All donations are tax deductible. We do not have a shelter yet. All pets live in foster homes. We only adopt to indoor homes. To see an animal, you must fill out an application first and then once approved, we can set up for you to meet the animal you are interested in. We do background checks on all applicants. If you have assault, domestic abuse, or drug charges please do not apply. If you have questions, please send an email to Email Waverly Pet Rescue at the bottom of this page. All animals see a vet for shots and normal exams. If they appear healthy and there are no obvious health concerns, then extensive testing is not done. This is normal procedure for pet rescues and shelters.
