Unfortunately for me, my previous owner did not brush my teeth or give me any dental cleanings, and now I am reduced to only two surviving teeth. When the vet was neutering me (I didn't mind, I'm semi old), the vet discovered that my teeth were so bad that they were just falling out. The vet decided to do a dental and pull all but two of my teeth as the rest could not be saved. The lack of teeth does not stop me from flashing a great smile. See?
Boy, it's hot down here!
My previous guardians could not keep me any more and I was outside most of the time anyway in the hot weather and sometimes cold weather. I believe I am what you call housetrained and paper-trained. But they say that any time a dog (like me) changes residence, we should expect an adjustment period. Because of my very small size and my age, my shelter and the good folks up at Almost Home Rescue in New England are recommending a home without small children. ** Silver has been neutered, is up-to-date on all of his shots, and is Heartworm negative. He is on HW preventative and weighed 6.9 pounds.

This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning "pending adoption".
If this Dog is marked Urgent, it is because the Arkansas shelter where he/she resides is overfull. Please do not ask local shelters to take this dog in, there are many reasons why they cannot. Please also do not send us letters about why we euthanize, AHR does not euthanize, but the shelters we work with do. We are a rescue and we pull as many dogs as we have foster homes and funds for. We, like the shelter, do not have unlimited resources. Please, please: foster, adopt or sponsor a dog to help save their lives.
. We pay a Transportation Service from Arkansas to bring the dogs to New England.
