Hi, my name's Silky ('cause my coat's so silky smooth) and I’m a total house dog! I was scheduled for euthanasia at a local shelter when my foster mother found me, she says she fell in love with my smile and gentle, calm demeanor. (Oh my, that was so very close!) She tells everyone that I’m the most impressive girl she ever met to come out of a shelter ~ makes me feel good to be so appreciated! Calm and quiet indoors, I’m extremely gentle with children but always up for a good romp with canine friends or a long walk, hike or run with my human(s). I love to lie quietly at your feet indoors (or in your lap, if allowed) while watching a movie or reading a book, go for hikes, play nicely with other dogs and just about anything that would make you happy so that we can spend quality time together. I especially love children of all ages and am always and forever ready for a good belly rug from anyone who’ll take the time to give me one ~ that’s my favorite thing on earth! I’m also always ready for a car ride, loading myself up easily; even in the largest model SUV’s! Best place in the world to snuggle in for a good nap, plus I know not to “unload” until asked ~ even when the door is left wide open ~ 'cause I'm the BEST car companion! I live in an indoor multi-dog foster home so I’m completely house, crate, car and leash trained and even sit nicely with or without command for food and treats. I’m a very sweet, gentle soul who is willing to do anything to please my people ~ a perfect family pet who would love to have her very own human family again!

Silky is a delightful 2 year old, full grown 50 lb. pure bred female American Pitbull Terrier who is spayed, up-to-date with all routine shots, preventatives and micro-chipped. Her $150 adoption fee includes her spay, de-worming, heartworm test, complete vaccine series, Heartgard and Frontline preventatives, microchip and basic behavior training ~ she’s a ready made family pet who’s all set for her own forever home!
