Silas

ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 2008!!!!!!!!! Silas is a young (we think 12-18 mos45 pound Duck Tolling Retriever Mix. To know Silas is to love him. And this beautiful boy is looking for just that – someone to love him. He has very nice house manners. His foster mom has been using a gentle leader collar for him on walks and he is doing very well. Silas is generally submissive but gaining confidence. He's not comfortable with large male dogs. We think a non-kitty home would be best as he has a high prey drive. Silas has a moderate energy level - he loves to go for walks and enjoys playing with a tennis ball. We would like to see Silas find a home with a fenced yard. Silas may have been abused and needs a gentle hand to help him gain confidence and continue to learn appropriate behavior. The perfect home for Silas would be a calm one with older kids, younger guys may be too overwhelming for him. Silas would love a home where he is given lots of attention - whether it be taken on walks, car rides or simply getting pet on your lap. He enjoys being part of the family. Silas would benefit from a fenced in yard where he can stretch his legs safely. Silas is fostered in Warren, NJ.

Our dogs are fostered in private homes - we do not have a facility to visit.
